Casatella + Struffoli Combo

Casatella, Easter egg bread, made especially for Easter! This house baked braided egg bread is a great morning tradition. It is delicious on its own; plain, toasted or as French toasted. This slightly sweetened golden egg bread represents birth and the circle of life. Paired with Struffoli. This sweet confection (known as taiglach in Eastern European countries) is an Italian favorite. Bite sized puff pastry is baked (not fried) until golden, covered in honey and garnished with candied cinnamon sticks and confetti.

With secret recipes that span three centuries, this fifth generation family-owned bakery continues to handcraft Italian desserts from the same location in NYC’s Little Italy since 1892.

Since opening their doors in 1892, Ferrara Bakery has been a staple in the heart of New York City's Little Italy, producing what many believe to be the finest Italian desserts in the country. Enrico Scoppa and Antonio Ferrara opened "Café A. Ferrara" over a century ago and their descendants are still involved, five generations later. As America's first pasticceria and espresso bar, it was only natural that people came primarily for the coffee, cookies and cakes, and despite the many changes in the neighborhood over the decades, their offerings are still wowing everyone who walks through the door, instantly transporting them to Southern Italy.
