Essa Bagel x Magnolia Bakery Banana Pudding Brunch

Two iconic New York bakeries join together to give your taste buds something they didn’t even know they were missing. Essa Bagel created a banana pudding cream cheese inspired by Magnolia’s Banana Pudding dessert. They also designed a special one-of-a-kind bagel to complement the creamy delicious perfectly balanced cream cheese. We recommend slicing open that bagel, schmearing a generous portion of cream cheese, and then rolling the edges in the Nilla wafer crumbs. Dare we say – decadent!?

Ask any New Yorker where to find the best bagel in New York City, and there’s a good chance they’ll tell you Ess-a-Bagel. Family-owned for more than 35 years, Ess-a is renowned for its big, chewy, crusty hand-rolled and kettle-boiled New York bagels made the old-fashioned way. Whether eaten on their own or with a schmear of cream cheese and a pile of lox, these bagels are a true taste of New York!

Getting a consensus from New Yorkers on where to find the best New York bites is truly an impossible mission—and probably the only one Tom Cruise can’t solve by jumping out of a plane. But most New Yorkers will tell you that some of the best bagels in the city are coming out of the ovens at Ess-a-Bagel, a family-owned bakery that’s been around for over 35 years (which is 150 in New York restaurant years). Cut and rolled by hand, it’s Ess-a’s chewy, crusty bagels that keep regulars coming back week after week (some since the day they opened) and visitors satisfied as they look for a true taste of New York.

Hands down, the ess-ential NY bagel is at Ess-a-Bagel or, as it’s referred to in some neighborhoods, His Hole-y-ness the Doughy Lama.
