Since opening her eponymous bakery in New York’s Lower East Side in 2005, Erin McKenna has opened additional bakeries in Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Disney Springs in Orlando. Erin McKenna’s Bakery has established itself as one of the U.S.‘s top destinations for drool-worthy vegan and gluten-free baked goods. McKenna’s cakes, pies, cupcakes, and other sweets are also non-GMO, sweetened with only agave nectar and vegan sugar, and soy-free. Plus, all ingredients are responsibly and carefully sourced.

This package serves 8-10 people and includes

  • 6 pcs. Gingerbread House
    • 2 Top Pieces (each 6.5 oz.)
    • 2 Side Pieces (each 6.5 oz.)
    • 1 Front Piece (8 oz.)
    • 1 Back Piece (8 oz.)
  • Sugar Icing Mix (11 oz.)
  • Gumdrops (2.5 oz.)
  • Assorted Candies ( (2.2 oz.)

  • Items arrive ready to enjoy!
  • Upon arrival, store items at room temperature.

To Serve

Icing Preparation

  • Empty bag of icing sugar in a bowl.
  • Using a fork, whisk in 1/4 cup of water. If it seems too thick, add 1/2 teaspoon of water at a time until it is smooth but not runny (careful – a little water goes a long way).
  • Pour 3/4 of icing into pastry bag 1.
  • Cut icing bag at the tip marked in black (this will be used for gluing the house together and securing candies).
  • Pour the rest of the icing into pastry Bag 2.
  • Cut icing bag at the tip marked in black (this will be used for detailed decorations).
  • Twist icing bags closed so the icing doesn’t run out of the top as you pipe the icing on your house.

Assembly

  • Choose a stable surface to display your house (for example: butcher block, serving plate, cardboard).
  • Using the icing from Bag 1, draw an L in 5 × 5.5-inch strips.
  • Place “Front” of house down on 5” strip and add one strip of icing on the edge where “Side One” of the house will go.
  • Place “Side One” of the house down on 5.5” strip and secure to the “Front”.
  • Press “Side One” and “Front” of the house down gently and allow to dry for one minute.
  • Repeat steps 2 – 5 for “Side Two” and “Back” of house pieces.
  • Pipe icing from Bag 1 around the entire top edges of the house.
  • Place “Roof” pieces on top and hold in place for 60 seconds.
  • Add icing strip using Bag 1 down center of the “Roof” and hold for another minute to secure.
  • Using icing like glue, add your decorations, and use Icing Bag 2 for more intricate decor.
  • Put on display, eat, and enjoy!
