Gelato - Choose Your Own 4 Pints

Dolcezza Gelato ships its legendary gelato nationwide on Goldbelly! Combining old-world methods and curiosity for innovation, Dolcezza crafts an exquisite gelato with a conscience. Most ingredients are grown locally by their farmer friends, who hand-pick their produce at peak ripeness before bringing it to the market the next day.

Husband and wife Robb Duncan and Violetta Edelman were on a whirlwind tour of South America when they were struck with inspiration while enjoying gelato at a famous shop in Buenos Aires. In July 2004, they opened a gelato shop of their own in Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown neighborhood, and since then Dolcezza Gelato has become a local institution, serving daily-made gelato and expertly crafted coffee drinks. The Dolcezza team produces small batches of hand-made gelato every morning using the best available ingredients: local fruits, herbs, nuts, cheese, milk, and cream. Most ingredients are grown by local farmers. They squeeze the citrus one by one, melt the chocolate, infuse the herbs, grind the nuts. and roast the spices, all with their own hands, every step of the way.

This package includes your choice of 4 Pints of Gelato

  • Mascarpone & Berries – Tart, creamy mascarpone cheese gelato carefully folded together with a strawberry, raspberry, blueberry jam
  • Roasted Strawberry – This flavor calls back to hot summer days in Georgia, eating strawberry ice cream in the back of a pick-up truck, swinging your legs off the tailgate
  • Peanut Butter Stracciatella – Dolcezza blends the FINEST peanut butter into their milk and cream base to achieve the RICHEST peanut butter gelato this side of the Mississippi. They then fold in melted dark chocolate at an attempt to resolve a lifelong obsession with the ETERNAL peanut butter cup
  • Black Sesame – Rich nutty notes from ground black sesame seeds are surrounded by light fruity notes of vanilla creating an unexpected flavor with an unexpected color. Your new favorite alternative to peanut butter.
  • Coffee & Cookies – Espresso gelato with generous portions of chocolate-covered Biscoff cookies folded in. The classic airline cookie has gone supersonic.
  • Swiss Chocolate – Milk chocolate gelato with ribbons of dulce de leche and melted dark chocolate folded together. Like eating a melted candy bar. A classic in the gelato parlors of Buenos Aires
  • Dark Chocolate – Dolcezza made the darkest chocolate gelato they could possibly make. They melt 70% chocolate couverture and combine it with cocoa powder and Pennsylvania milk and cream. earthy, smoky, thick, frozen fudge. To go any darker is not recommended.
  • Pistachio Siciliano – The best pistachios in the world are grown in the volcanic soil of Sicily’s Bronte region. Earth and butter rule this sophisticated flavor and make it impossible to remove from the parlor’s rotation.
  • Banana Split – Violeta grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina eating smashed bananas with dulce de leche as her favorite childhood dessert. We try to awaken that early magic by making a sweat banana cream gelato and mixing it together with gobs of dulce de leche and melted chocolate, redefining this namesake American classic with no regret.
  • Coconut with Dulce de Leche – Another classic reigning from the cool gelato parlors in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sweet coconut cream gelato folded together with gobs of dulce de leche, like your grandma’s coconut cream pie but jettisoned into another realm with the addition of dulce de leche.
  • Hazelnut Crackle – Hazelnuts from the sacred piedmont region of Italy. Chocolate hazelnut praline with flecks of wafer and hazelnut chunks. Pair these two together and you summon a beast capable of obliterating the most passionate disciples of self-control.
  • Black & White Cookie Batter – Lemon vanilla icing and chocolate ganache topped on fluffy vanilla cakes dunked into cookie batter gelato
  • Peanut Butter Mash – Rich peanut butter gelato, salty chocolate covered pretzels, chopped peanut butter cups, grooving on monster waves of dulce de leche.

  • Black & White Cookie Batter Gelato – Chill out and eat this gelato. lemon-vanilla icing and chocolate ganache topped on fluffy vanilla cakes dunked into this cookie batter gelato.
  • Crookneck Pumpkin – These firm, meaty, sweet pumpkins are the ones used always in the past for the American pumpkin pie. We rub them down in ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove & allspice and roast them until caramelized and sweet.
  • Sweet Potato Pecan Praline – Dolcezza Gelato roasts the sweet potatoes, purees and blends them with a cream base. As the gelato is drawn from the batch freezer it is folded in homemade pecan praline. This flavor ushers in the winter. It should taste like a sweet potato pie.
  • Mascarpone & Fig – Indulgent mascarpone gelato with gobs of homemade fig jam made from locally-sourced figs. Celebrate prosperity and abundance by stuffing your face with this fall twist of the most popular flavor.
  • Maple Walnut – Maryland maple syrup gelato with candied spiced walnuts.
  • Vanilla Bean – Simplicity reigns supreme in this flavor and acts as a litmus test to quality for there is no place to hide. Consciously sourced vanilla beans and grass-fed milk & cream. Clean, light, floral & fruity.

  • Peanut Butter Cup – Rich peanut butter gelato. Salty chocolate-covered pretzels, chopped peanut butter cups with grooving monster waves of dulce de leche.
  • Mango – Champagne mangoes from Mexico are Dolcezza’s favorite varietal. They are creamy and sweet and contain almost none of the stringy fiber.
  • Dark Chocolate Fudge – Looking for something dark? You don’t need to be a boat captain steaming deep into the jungle or chasing a fantastical whale into madness and self-destruction. Just try this gelato instead. It’s a bleak dark chocolate gelato with calamitous crunchy chocolate cookie fudge.
