Arepas – South American corn pockets stuffed with a wide variety of fillings – are one of the most delicious and satisfying comfort foods in existence, and for over a decade, Doggi’s has been Miami’s destination for absolutely out-of-this world Venezuelan arepas. Founded by brothers Giovanni and Carlos Esteves (along with their mother, Yoleida) as a hot dog cart in 2010, Doggi’s has since become so popular that it’s expanded to four Miami-area brick-and-mortar locations. This is a true taste of Venezuela, and it’s shipping nationwide!
This package serves 10-12 people and includes 12 Hallacas

- Hallacas ship fresh with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
- Upon arrival, unopened Hallacas may be kept in the refrigerator for up to 21 days and up to 7 days after opening.
- Tequeños may be stored in the freezer for up to 30 days.
To Serve
Hallaca
- Grab a pot big enough to fit the desired number of hallacas you’re serving and fill with enough water to fully cover them.
- Bring to a boil.
- Once water boils, open the bag, and place the hallacas into the pot, letting them cook for 20 minutes.
- Pick up the hallacas with tongs and place them on a plate.
- Cut the ribbon made out of plantain leaf and carefully unfold the leaves until you get to the hallacas.
- Enjoy!
Add on Option: Tequeños
- Pre-heat the oven or air fryer at 380ºF.
- Take out the tequeños from the freezer and separate them.
- Once the oven or air fryer is preheated, Add frozen tequeños to the tray or basket that will go inside the oven or air fryer.
- Cook tequeños for 10-12 minutes.
- Check the doneness of tequeños by seeing that the dough has browned, cheese should not be seeping through.
- Transfer prepared tequeños to plate or bowl.
- Serve and enjoy tequeños hot with sauce!

Drawing on their vast expertise of Venezuelan cuisine – and with a little help from their mother, Yoleida – Giovanni and Carlos are making each of their fresh arepas by hand and loading them up with everything from shredded beef, ripe fried plantains, black beans, and cheese (Pabellón Criollo) to grilled picanha steak, pan-seared queso blanco, and guasacaca sauce (Llanera).
