Arepas – South American corn pockets stuffed with a wide variety of fillings – are one of the most delicious and satisfying comfort foods in existence, and for over a decade, Doggi’s has been Miami’s destination for absolutely out-of-this world Venezuelan arepas. Founded by brothers Giovanni and Carlos Esteves (along with their mother, Yoleida) as a hot dog cart in 2010, Doggi’s has since become so popular that it’s expanded to four Miami-area brick-and-mortar locations. This is a true taste of Venezuela, and it’s shipping nationwide!
This package serves 10-12 people and includes

Entree Options Include
- Sliced Pork (3 lbs.)
- Pork Gravy Sauce (8 oz.)
- Asado Negro Beef (2 lbs.)
- Pan de Jamón and Pernil ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
- Hallacas and Venezeulan Chicken Salad ship fresh with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
- Pan de Jamón and Pernil may be stored in the freezer for up to 30 days in the original vacuum-sealed package and up to 7 days in the refrigerator after opening.
- Upon arrival, unopened Hallacas and Venezeulan Chicken Salad may be kept in the refrigerator for up to 21 days and up to 7 days after opening.
- Sauce may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 21 days after opening.
- Tequeños may be stored in the freezer for up to 30 days.
To Serve
Asado Negro Beef
- Pierce the plastic film of the tray with a knife.
- Place the container in your microwave and cook it on high for 3 minutes.
- Remove the plastic cover, stir the meat around within the tray and place it back in the microwave for an additional minute.
- Contents will be hot, carefully take the Asado Negro out of the microwave and place it in a platter.
Sliced Pork
- Pull and open the plastic film of the tray.
- Place the pork slices in a baking sheet and reheat it in the oven at 350℉ for 5 minutes.
- Content will be hot, carefully take the pork slices out of the oven and place it in a platter.
- Serve and enjoy!
Sauce
- Add the sauce into a bowl and reheat it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
- Carefully mix the sauce with a spoon.
- Add the sauce to the pork.
- Serve and enjoy!
Venezuelan Chicken Salad
- Add the celery into the chicken salad and mix well.
- Serve and enjoy!
Pan de Jamón
Pan de Jamon arrives frozen, let it thaw at room temperature for approximately 2 hours before cooking.
- Preheat Oven to 290℉, and add the bread to the center rack of the oven.
- Let it cook for 20 minutes.
- Pan de Jamon should be ready when it turns golden on the outside crust.
- Serve and enjoy!
Hallaca
- Grab a pot big enough to fit the desired number of hallacas you’re serving and fill with enough water to fully cover them.
- Bring to a boil.
- Once water boils, open the bag, and place the hallacas into the pot, letting them cook for 20 minutes.
- Pick up the hallacas with tongs and place them on a plate.
- Cut the ribbon made out of plantain leaf and carefully unfold the leaves until you get to the hallacas.
- Enjoy!

Drawing on their vast expertise of Venezuelan cuisine – and with a little help from their mother, Yoleida – Giovanni and Carlos are making each of their fresh arepas by hand and loading them up with everything from shredded beef, ripe fried plantains, black beans, and cheese (Pabellón Criollo) to grilled picanha steak, pan-seared queso blanco, and guasacaca sauce (Llanera).
