Founded by brothers Giovanni and Carlos Esteves as a hot dog cart in 2010, Doggi’s has since become so popular that it’s expanded to four Miami-area brick-and-mortar locations.
Drawing on their vast expertise of Venezuelan cuisine – and with a little help from their mother, Yoleida – Giovanni and Carlos are making each of their fresh arepas by hand and loading them up with everything from shredded beef, ripe fried plantains, black beans, and cheese (Pabellón Criollo) to grilled picanha steak, pan-seared queso blanco, and guasacaca sauce (Llanera).
