Dickey Farms has been growing peaches in the heartland of Georgia since 1897, and it’s proud to be home to Georgia’s oldest continuously operating peach packinghouse. Built by Robert L. “Mr. Bob” Dickey in 1936, the long white building remains a prominent landmark in historic Musella, Georgia. Mr. Bob also implemented some revolutionary technology, including Georgia’s first peach fuzz-removing brushing machine and one of the first hydro-cooling systems to remove field dust and slow the ripening process.
