This regional favorite is all about that thick crust made from Detroit Style Pizza Company’s award winning dough. Heart shaped and topped with pepperoni, covered edge to edge with a blend of brick and mozzarella cheese and smothered in their signature Sicilian sauce, this pizza stays true to its Detroit roots with the help of the blue steel pans once used by mechanics on the assembly line in which they are baked.
Detroit Style Pizza Co. was founded in 2012 by the late Shawn Randazzo, who was crowned the champion 2012 World Pizza Maker of the Year at the International Pizza Expo. They’re turning out some of the best Detroit-style pizza around, with its soft & airy, focaccia-like crust with a ring of crunchy caramelized cheese around the rim.
This package serves 6 people and includes 3 Heart-Shaped Pepperoni Pizzas
- Each pizza is approximately 7″ × 9″ and serves 2 people
- Pizzas are made-to-order and promptly frozen.
- Although each box is carefully packed with ice packs and picked up for immediate shipment, it is normal for the pizza and ice packs to partially or fully thaw during shipment.
- Upon receipt, please, cook, refrigerate or place in the freezer.
- Pizzas will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 1-2 days. If you wish to keep them longer, you can store them in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Cooking Instructions
From Frozen
- Preheat oven to 375F. (If using toaster oven 350F)
- If sauce is frozen transfer to a microwave safe bowl or container and thaw out in microwave so be able to spoon on pizza.
- Remove pizza from wrapper. Place on cookie sheet.
- With spoon, put sauce on top of pizza. Do not spread on, let drop from spoon.
- Place cookie sheet in oven on center rack. Cook approximately 25 minutes.(G.F. 15 min.)
- Carefully take pizza out of oven and let cool for a couple minutes. Enjoy!
From Thawed
- Preheat oven to 375F. (If using toaster oven 350F)
- If sauce is frozen transfer to a microwave safe bowl or container. Then put in microwave for 10-20 seconds and stir with spoon.
- Remove pizza from wrapper. Place on cookie sheet.
- With spoon, put sauce on top of pizza. Do not spread on, drop from spoon.
- Place cookie sheet in oven on center rack. Cook approximately 15 minutes.(G.F. 10 min.)
- Carefully take pizza out of oven and let cool for a couple minutes. Enjoy!
