It all began when Crank & Boom founders Toa and Mike Green were looking for a creative dessert to serve in their family’s Thai restaurant. They purchased an ice cream machine and churned the first batch of what would eventually become Kentucky’s best small-batch ice cream. Named "Best Ice Cream in Kentucky’’ by Travel & Leisure, Crank & Boom has been making ice cream flavors with locally-sourced ingredients at their Lexington, Kentucky, “ice cream lounge” since 2015. The couple makes flavors like Bourbon Honey, Blackberry Buttermilk, Coffee Stout, and Blueberry Lime Cheesecake—decadent flavors that incorporate the bounty of Kentucky’s farms, breweries, and distilleries.

Cookie Dough – We blend our unique brown butter cookie dough into sweet cream ice cream and then for fun, we add in even more chunks of cookie dough and chocolate chips. Cookie lovers unite!
