A third-generation pastry chef, Cookies and Schmear founder Julia Sandberg started baking cookies “schmeared” with indulgent icings as a hobby to share with volunteers at the Miami non-profit organization she worked at. They proved to be so popular that in 2016 she decided to go all-in, and Cookies and Schmear was born. Cookies and Schmear quickly grew thanks to word-of-mouth, and Sandberg soon found herself baking cookies & whipping up schmears and delivering them throughout the Miami area.
