PLEASE NOTE: These are actual cookies, not donuts. They might look like donuts. They might taste like donuts. They might even have the same names as donuts. But they are, in fact, cookies. Really, really, REALLY good cookies.
Cookie Good is a family business run by Melanie & Ross Canter, with help from their 20-something kids, Mia & Gabe. Ross was a Hollywood screenwriter who loved to bake, and during the 2008 writer’s strike, he started selling cookies out of his house. The business quickly grew, and Cookie Good was born! Cookie Good uses only the best ingredients in all of their fun and nostalgic baked goods: chocolates from Callebaut & Van Leer, Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla, and AA sweet creamery butter.

- Each cookie weighs 1.7 oz. and measures 3" – 3.5" (depending on the cookie)
- Recommended serving size is 2 cookies per person (factoring in your appetite and willingness to share, of course!)

Cookie Flavors Include
- 1 Apple Fritter Cookie – Caramelized chunks of Granny Smith apples are added to a cinnamony, brown sugary dough. A final glaze puts this donut shop-inspired cookie over the edge.
- 1 Bear Claw Cookie – True, the Bear Claw is more of a danish than an actual donut, but when the local donut shop has this in its case, it’s hard to resist buying two! This cookie has ribbons of almond filling and is topped with toasted almonds and a drizzle of vanilla glaze.
- 1 Blueberry Glazed Donut Cookie – This cookie is based on a classic go-to donut. A slightly buttermilky, VERY blueberry cookie base is brushed with a bright blue, blueberry glaze.
- 1 Cap’n Crunch Sprinkled Donut Crunch Cookie – It’s no secret that Cap’n Crunch is a favorite cereal. When their limited edition Sprinkled Donut Crunch came out, there was no hesitation in being first in line at the supermarket (okay, technically the only one in line). This cookie version has lots of Cap’n Crunch, a bit of white chocolate, and is dotted with rainbow sprinkles.
- 1 Caramel-Pretzel Chocolate Chunk Cookie – Best seller. (Okay, so technically, this cookie isn’t based on a donut but it is someone’s father’s favorite cookie, so it kind of has to be included in this box!) Chocolate chips, dark chocolate chunks, caramel, pretzels, and a sprinkling of crunchy pretzel salt – it’s a salty/sweet, chewy/crunchy, and just plain awesome cookie.
- 1 Red Velvet-Buttermilk Glazed Donut – This red velvet cookie base has cocoa, buttermilk, a touch of donut spice, and is topped with a cream cheese-buttermilk glaze and a sprinkling of Red Velvet Cookie crumbs. Not quite sure if the Red Velvet-Buttermilk Donut is really a donut shop staple…but it really should be!
- 1 Chocolate Donette Chunk Cookie – Big chunks of Hostess Chocolate Frosted Mini Donettes are stuffed into a rich, chocolate-chocolate chip cookie.
- 1 Churro Cookie – All the crunchy-soft, cinnamon-sweet goodness of the street fair classic…in a cookie!
- 1 Glazed Donut Cookie – Homer Simpson Edition: This Glazed Donut Cookie goes pink in honor of a favorite TV dad (and D’OH-nut eater), Homer Simpson. A touch of nutmeg, a sweet pink glaze, and rainbow sprinkles make this donut cookie so good it might just be eaten by the dozen…or in Homer’s case, by the ton!
- 1 Jelly Donut Cookie – A fluffy, slightly malty cookie filled with raspberry jam and dusted with powdered sugar.
- 1 Maple Bar Cookie – Simple, yet insanely delicious, this square-shaped, cakey, donut-inspired cookie is totally transformed by a topping of maple glaze.
- 1 Peanut Butter-Banana-Chocolate Chip Pocket Cookie – Stan’s Donuts in Westwood is dearly missed. For years it was the go-to donut spot, and it was nearly impossible to leave without one of their Peanut Butter-Banana Pockets (with chocolate chips). This cookie version has ribbons of peanut butter filling, chunks of fresh banana, mini chocolate chips, and a banana glaze.
- Cookies ship without coolant and arrive ready to eat!
- Upon arrival, store cookies at room temperature for up to 4 days or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
- If you have more willpower than we do and have decided to freeze some of your cookies or bars, getting them back to “fresh baked” is really easy. Follow the directions below!
To Serve
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Place (still frozen) treats on a cookie sheet (if you’ve got parchment paper to line the cookie sheet that’s always helpful; not a problem if you don’t).
- Bake for 5 minutes and then let them cool on the cookie sheet for about 10 minutes.
- Enjoy!

Cookie Good is a family business run by Melanie & Ross Canter, with help from their 20-something kids, Mia & Gabe. Ross was a Hollywood screenwriter who loved to bake (his grandfather was one of the original Canter Brothers, who started the iconic Canter's Deli in Los Angeles). During the writer's strike in 2008, Melanie suggested they start selling his cookies out of their house to make some money. An email went out to 100 family and friends, and the business quickly grew from their home kitchen to a part-time commercial kitchen and finally into their Santa Monica retail location.
