Melanie was diagnosed with breast cancer just a month after her 30th birthday and it’s been a part of their lives ever since. While we will never truly be out of the shadow of cancer, we do take time – especially each October – to celebrate life, to remember the women we’ve lost, to support those still in the struggle, and to fight for an end to this disease.
So, this October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Cookie Good has created a (mostly) pretty-in-pink cookie box that not only looks & tastes good but will also DO good. Cookie Good will be donating a portion of their net proceeds to the Breast Cancer Care & Research Fund (bccrf.org).
Cookie Good is a family business run by Melanie & Ross Canter along with their 20-something kids, Mia & Gabe. Ross was a Hollywood screenwriter who loved to bake, and during the 2008 writer’s strike he started selling cookies out of his house to make a little extra money. The business quickly grew, and Cookie Good was born! Cookie Good uses only the highest-quality ingredients in all of their fun and nostalgic baked goods: chocolates from Callebaut & Van Leer, Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla, and AA sweet creamery butter.
