As a child, Clementine’s Creamery founder Tamara Keefe’s life changed forever when her mom bought a $2 hand-cranked ice cream maker from a garage sale. Making ice cream by hand became a Sunday ritual, and the power of ice cream to make people smile and bring them together stayed with Tamara throughout her career working for a St. Louis Fortune 500 company. When she was ready for a change of pace she spent her life’s savings on an ice cream kitchen and cashed out her 401K, and in 2014 Clementine’s Ice Cream was born. It was an immediate hit, and today there are eight St. Louis-area locations serving up scoops of her classic “nice” & alcohol-infused “naughty” ice creams!

Clementine’s Ice Cream began with a $2 hand-cranked ice cream maker and a sense of belonging.
Founder Tamara Keefe didn’t always get to join in simple rituals like post-church ice cream outings. That changed when her mom brought home a secondhand ice cream maker from a garage sale. Sundays became ice cream days. Neighbors arrived with cream and sugar. Strangers became friends. Ice cream became connection.
Years later, after a high-pressure Fortune 500 marketing career, Tamara traded boardrooms for butterfat. In 2014, she invested her life savings into a small ice cream kitchen and opened Clementine’s. What began as one shop has grown to over 10 Midwest locations with nationwide shipping.
Clementine’s is known for its "Naughty and Nice" lineup. "Nice" flavors highlight grass-grazed dairy classics like Butter Brickle and Gooey Butter Cake. "Naughty" flavors feature alcohol-infused creations made using a proprietary process developed with food scientists.
Every flavor is crafted in small batches under true microcreamery standards, with house-baked inclusions and a focus on texture and flavor clarity.
At its heart, Clementine’s is about connection and the joy that happens when people gather around something sweet.
