Claudy’s Kitchen is real-deal Peruvian food at its finest. Founded in the heart of The Bronx by the husband-and-wife duo of Claudia and Richard Berroa in 2020, Claudy’s uses fresh, all-natural, and locally-sourced ingredients in its lineup of authentic Peruvian dishes, which have become so beloved by locals that in 2021 the restaurant was awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin.
This package serves 24 people and includes your choice of 24 Empanadas
- Each Empanada weighs 3.2 oz. and measures 2.5″ × 5″
Flavor Options Include
- Ground Beef – Fresh ground beef with onion
- Chicken – Chopped chicken with tomato and onion
- Verde – Spinach with mozzarella cheese and caramelized onion
- Chorizo – fresh spicy chorizo with potato and onion
- “Aji De Gallina” Spicy Creamed Chicken – Shredded chicken with Peruvian yellow pepper, cream, and onion
- “Lomo Saltado” Stir-Fried Beef – Flank steak with tomato and onion
- Apple Caramel – Sweet apples with cinnamon and caramel
- Empanadas ship frozen with dry ice.
- Dry ice may dissipate in transit.
- Do not remove dry ice with bare hands.
- Upon arrival, place all the items in the refrigerator or freezer.
- Empanadas may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days to in the freezer for up to 4 months
- Empanadas be stored in the freezer for up to 4 months.
- Once thawed, empanadas should be enjoyed within 2 days.
To Serve
- Take empanadas out of freezer and let thaw for about 10 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Place empanadas on a lightly greased baking pan.
- Bake for 20-22 minutes, empanadas should be golden and crisp.

Claudy’s got its start selling its signature flan to gourmet markets around the New York area, and it grew organically from there: street fairs and empanadas came next, and after spending hundreds of hours perfecting every dish, the brick-and-mortar followed.
