Casa Vega is one of the oldest and most beloved Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles, and it’s as big a celebrity as some of the A-listers who’ve dined there since Ray Vega first opened its doors in 1956. The warm and festive restaurant hasn’t changed much since those early days, with a retro throwback charm that’s made it a beloved local hangout, celebrity favorite (Marlon Brando was a regular), and ideal filming location for movies including Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Ray Vega’s daughter Christy took over the restaurant after Ray’s passing in 2021, and in 2022 the James Beard Foundation named Casa Vega an American Classic.

- Items ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
- Upon arrival, store all items in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Reheat protein from a refrigerated state.
- Chips do not require refrigeration and should be stored in a dry location at room temperature.
- Cocktail mix should be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
To Serve
Enchiladas
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Put enchiladas in an oven-safe dish and place on center rack.
- Cook for 12 minutes and remove dish.
- Pour enchilada sauce on top of the enchiladas then top with the Monterey Jack cheese.
- Place back in oven and heat for another 5 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.
- Remove dish from oven, let stand for two minutes. Enjoy!
Burritos
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Place the burrito on an oven safe dish.
- Once the oven is heated, remove tin foil and paper wrapping from burrito and place the burrito on the center rack for 30 minutes.
- Cover the burritos with enchilada sauce and then top off the burritos with the Monterey Jack cheese.
- Bake for another 5-7 minutes or until the burritos reach an internal temperature of 165°.
- Remove dish from oven, let stand for two minutes. Enjoy!
Rice & Beans
- Place rice in a microwave-safe dish and heat on high for two minutes.
- Place the beans in a microwave-safe dish and heat on high for three minutes.
- Combine & serve!
Margarita
- Pour the salt on a small plate.
- Rim a glass with a lime wedge.
- Roll the cup in the salt to create a white rim around the glass.
- Finally, add 6 oz of the margarita mix to a shaker with 2 oz of your favorite tequila (not included).
- Shake, pour over ice, and enjoy!
Michelada
- Pour the chamoy on a small plate.
- Pour the tajin on a separate small plate.
- Dip the rim of your glass in the chamoy and then into the tajin to create a spiced red rim around the glass.
- Add 6 oz of the michelada mix to the glass with your favorite cerveza (not included).
- Enjoy!
