Signature I-40 Pie
Ready To Eat
Named for Interstate 40 while founders Scott and Meredith Layton were stuck in traffic between Knoxville and Memphis, the I-40 is Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop’s best-seller: a twist on pecan pie with toasted coconut and chocolate chips baked into the signature shortbread crust. The Knoxville, Tennessee shop opened in 2012 on their grandmothers’ Southern recipes; this one became the pie that took the shop national.

Southern Pies, Straight from the Heart.
Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop, the Southern bakery behind hand-crimped Mini Pies and from-scratch cream pies rooted in Arkansas and Mississippi family recipes, was founded by Scott and Meredith — two people whose grandmothers defined what pie should taste like. Scott learned fruit pies on a Missouri farm; Meredith spent Memphis weekends beside her Nanny, the neighborhood's unofficial pie lady. Those memories became the menu.
From a single family's kitchen traditions to a growing pie shop beloved for its nostalgic, from-scratch Southern recipes — shipped nationwide on Goldbelly.
