Brownie Points’ Bruffles start with a fudgy baked-from-scratch brownie, roll it with ganache and cream cheese until it’s dense and truffle-like, then enrobe the whole thing in a rich chocolate shell and decorate it by hand — a creation that took Lisa King’s Columbus brownie company from a 1991 Cleveland apartment kitchen to features on the Food Network and Good Morning America. The Father’s Day version is dressed for the occasion; the brownie inside is the same one that’s been earning the company its name since King bought it back and rebuilt it from the ground up.
