The Babka will be available starting February 13th, just in time for Lunar New Year (February 17), and is inspired by the traditional Chinese flavors Peter grew up enjoying. The Good Fortune Babka is a flaky, buttery babka layered with red bean paste, caramel, chocolate and brushed with a miso glaze – a delicious combination which brings classic Chinese flavors to Breads Bakery’s Babka.
Located in the heart of NYC’s Union Square, Breads Bakery is an insanely popular New York bakery known for producing artisanal, handmade breads and pastries, baked in small batches throughout the day to ensure unparalleled freshness. Most of the artisan breads they bake are made with whole grains and go through a slow proofing process, which sharpens and improves the taste. An ever-growing devout following regularly flocks to Breads for unrivaled classic Jewish pastries like their famous babka, called the best in the city by just about every New York media outlet around.

- Each babka measures approx. 9" long x 3" wide and weighs approx. 1 lb.
Storage & Care:
Babkas are pulled from the bakery’s ovens at 4 or 5pm the day they are shipped, so they are incredibly fresh when they arrive at your door the next day. Enjoy your babkas within 24 hours of arrival, or freeze immediately for up to 60 days. If frozen, thaw at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours – they will still taste delicious and fresh.
For a special treat, warm for 3 to 5 minutes at 300 degrees.
