Blackberry Farm has been offering a taste of the Smoky Mountains for decades. The farm and six-room country inn, today overseen by proprietor Mary Celeste Beall, serves food rooted in Foothills Cuisine®, which toes the line between refined and rugged, borrowing from both Haute Cuisine and the foods indigenous to Blackberry’s Smoky Mountain heritage. The James Beard Award-winning farm in Appalachia has produced multiple American Cheese Society award-winning cheeses and Good Food Award-winning pickles, pantry items, cheeses, and beer.
This package includes
- 1 Aged Cheddar Pimento (6 oz.) – This pasteurized Pimento Cheese is prepared with Cheddar, lending it a sharp, nutty characteristic. The pimentos are Spanish roasted red pimento peppers that are large, sweet and meaty.
- 1 Sheep’s Milk Pimento (6 oz.) – This Sheep’s Milk Pimento Cheese is a new spin on a southern classic. Blackberry Farm has taken their traditional pimento cheese recipe and added in an aged sheep’s milk cheese that creates an even more delicious and complex flavor.
- 1 Brebis (6 oz.) – This award-winning fresh sheep’s milk cheese, is produced similarly to a Chevre. It is rich with a supple texture while being light on the palate. Brebis is well-balanced, making it a very versatile cheese. It is excellent eaten alone, as an accent to any sandwich or when paired with one of their delicious jams.
- 1 Brebis & Ramp Spread (6 oz.) – The onion and garlic flavor from the ramps mixed with the creamy Brebis cheese creates a delicious savory flavor combination, and utilizing the ramp greens gives the spread a beautiful color. Dip your favorite raw vegetables or spread over bread and enjoy.
