Taste the rainbow — literally! In 2016, Julie Waxman turned her passion for baking rainbow-colored cookies into Baked in Color, a boutique bakery in New York City. Made with colorful dough, each rainbow chocolate chip cookie is rolled and twisted, creating colorful chocolate chip cookies and rainbow “brookies,” a hybrid cookie and brownie.

New York, NYInspired by the craze over rainbow colored desserts, Julie Waxman started baking classic chocolate chip cookies with rainbow dough using a recipe she had honed over her college years. In 2016, she founded Baked in Color. Her NYC shop at Columbus Circle sells thousands of decadent cookies a week, in every color you can imagine. Each cookie is rolled out and twisted by hand to create beautiful rainbow and custom colored cookies. They're not only beautiful and fun to look at, but incredibly delicious as well!
