John Rivers spent more than 20 years in the healthcare industry, traveling the country and learning everything there is to know about barbecue in his free time. After retiring he decided to put his newly-acquired skills to good use, and 4 Rivers was born in Winter Park 2009. Since then it’s earned a reputation for serving some of the best barbecue in America, with 13 additional locations open across the state.
This package serves 6-8 people and includes
- Mac & Cheese (1 Qt.) – Elbow noodles in a creamy cheese sauce
- Green Beans (1 Qt.) – Southern-style green beans made with bacon, onions, garlic and cooked in chicken stock
- Baked Beans (1 Qt.) – BBQ baked beans cooked with brisket and pork
- Smokehouse Corn (1 Qt.) – Corn fresh off the cob and sautéed with smoked tomatoes, spices, garlic, and then topped with cilantro.
- 1 loaf Cornbread – Traditional cornbread made with cheddar cheese and jalapeños
- Items ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit.
- Upon arrival, store items in the refrigerator (keep tightly packed in original plastic packaging).
- Upon arrival, store cornbread at room temperature.
- Items last up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
- Cornbread lasts up to 2 days at room temperature.
To Serve
Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Baked Beans, Smokehouse Corn, Macaroni & Cheese
- Place in microwave-safe container and heat in the microwave until items reach 165°F.
- Remove from microwave and enjoy!

Pitmaster John Rivers spent 20 years in healthcare, traveling the country learning everything there is to know about barbecue. In 2009, he left his corporate job to pursue his passion in opening the first 4 Rivers Smokehouse in Winter Park, Florida. The smokehouse has since been named best barbecue restaurant in America by Southern Living and MSN, and has continued to expand to 15 locations throughout Florida.
Rivers and his team wet-age Black Angus brisket for 30 days prior to smoking over hickory for maximum beefy flavor, and along with burnt ends, ribs, sausage, and more barbecue classics. Don’t skip the banana pudding for dessert!
