This is Killer Noodle’s version of simple, classic, pork-based ramen. Tsujita’s iconic thin, firm, and chewy ramen noodles are swimming in a pork-based soup (finished with salt sauce to give it a rich, round flavor) and accompanied with slow-roasted charsiu pork, green onion, and bamboo shoots.

In Los Angeles, Tsujita is synonymous with ramen. Not only is the restaurant – which was founded in Tokyo in 2005 – widely considered to be the best ramen shop in the City of Angels, its more specialized spinoffs have also taken LA by storm. Enter Killer Noodle, which was also born in Tokyo, and exploded onto the LA scene in 2017 to critical acclaim. Killer Noodle specializes in Tantanmen (or Tan Tan Ramen), a style of ramen inspired by Szechuan Dan Dan Noodles. Their Signature Tokyo-Style noodles are swimming in a broth thickened by sesame and peanut butter; the spicier Downtown-Style is more vinegar-forward. And for the purists, Tsujita’s classic pork-based ramen is the dish that started it all. Whether you opt to keep the spice level mild or kick it up with chili oil and Sanshō pepper, these noodle bowls are insanely delicious flavor bombs!

This package serves 2 people and includes everything you need to make 2 bowls of Classic-style Ramen

  • 2 pcks. Umami Oil (each 0.85 oz.)
  • 2 pcks. “Charsiu” Pork, cooked (each 1.7 oz.)
  • 2 pcks. Noodles, uncooked (each 5.5 oz.)
  • 2 pcks. Classic-style Ramen Soup (each 11.7 oz.)
  • 2 pcks. Green Onion (each 0.2 oz.)
  • 2 pcks. “Menma” Bamboo Shoots (each 0.7 oz.)
  • Egg not included


Pork Broth, Garlic, Ginger, Pork Fat, Green Onion. Allergens: Egg

Instructions / Storage

  • Kit ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit.
  • Upon arrival, store kit in the refrigerator or in the freezer.
  • Kit may be stored for up to 1 week in the refrigerator or up to 3 months in the freezer.

To Serve

  • Allow items to thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Boil 2 pots of hot water.
  • In one pot, boil noodles for approx. 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In the other pot, heat the bag of soup until melted.
  • Once heated through, pour the soup out into a bowl.
  • Take all other ingredients out of its packaging.
  • Drain the noodles, and add them to the bowl of soup.
  • Top with all other components and adjust your soup to the spice level of your preference (add the chili oil to make it MEDIUM spicy, add the sansho pepper to make it NUMBNESS LEVEL spicy).
  • Serve and enjoy!
