Freezer Friendly
Eighteen Golden Delicious apples, each one hand-peeled and hand-placed, piled into a made-from-scratch crust until the whole thing stands nearly nine inches tall and tips the scale around ten pounds. Mary Hostetter created the Levee High Apple Pie in 1993 to honor the volunteers who built a ten-foot levee against the Great Flood, and it put her Kimmswick bakery on the map. It ships frozen, ready to bake hot and fresh in your own oven. The towering Missouri legend, an Oprah’s Favorite Things alum.
