Woodstock’s Cult-Favorite Meatball Shop

Sharkie’s Meatballs in Woodstock, New York built its reputation on handmade, slow-cooked gluten-free meatballs, crafted with premium beef and antibiotic-free poultry. Owner Mark Rosenberg opened the tiny 300-square-foot shop in 2017 after leaving life in New York and San Francisco to focus on perfecting the humble meatball. Named for Mark’s childhood nickname, “Sharkie,” the spot began as a one-man takeout counter and quickly became a local favorite on Woodstock’s Tinker Street.

Each batch of Sharkie’s meatballs is still made in-house and slow-cooked for rich, comforting flavor, served over everything from cheesy garlic bread to roasted spaghetti squash. What started as a small storefront has grown into a beloved community hub, with their signature meatballs now shipped nationwide on Goldbelly.
