Hannah and Marian Cheng grew up eating Taiwanese-style dumplings lovingly made by their mother, Mimi. After spending time working at corporate jobs, unable to find dumplings that came close to the ones their mom made, they decided to take matters into their own hands, and Mimi Cheng’s was born in 2014.
Two locations and heaps of praise later, it’s safe to say that Hannah and Marian made the right decision. So what makes these dumplings so special? The ingredients, for one, which include pasture-raised pork, local and organic vegetables, and 100% Japanese sesame oil. All the food is made fresh daily, and just like the ones that came out of Mimi’s kitchen all those years ago, they’re made with love.
