King David Tacos

Back in 2017, Liz Solomon Dwyer rolled out a small cart in Manhattan’s Financial District and started selling something that was nearly unheard-of in New York City: Austin-style breakfast tacos. Before long, New Yorkers began ditching their bagels and muffins and lining up for her perfectly-portioned, irresistibly delicious tacos – fresh flour tortillas with eggs, cheese, assorted fillings, and housemade salsas – and this taste of Texas became a certified phenom.

Today, KDT can be found throughout the city, at everywhere from carts to brick-and-mortar locations to coffee shops. These grab-and-go all-stars are the perfect breakfast, lunch, dinner, or anytime snack, with a wide variety of fillings of everything from simple bean & cheese to migas, pollo verde, and hearty steak, potato, egg, and cheese.
