Kentucky Derby®

The Kentucky Derby® is the longest continually held sporting event in America, and one of the most prestigious horse races in the world. Called the most exciting two minutes in sports®, it’s been held every year since 1875 at Louisville’s Churchill Downs®, the world’s most legendary racetrack. 2024 marks 150 years since Colonel Merriwether Lewis Clark, Jr. formed the Louisville Jockey Club and acquired the land for the racetrack, setting the stage for the first Derby – a race of 15 horses in front of a crowd of 10,000 spectators.

This year, 20 horses will run for the roses® on the first Saturday in May, cheered on by more than 150,000 spectators at Churchill Downs® and millions more at home. And for the first time, in partnership with Goldbelly, you can have the official taste of the Derby delivered straight to your door!
