Back in 2004, college student Jayson Edwards was getting bored with his standard college-student lineup of sandwiches and pizza, so he sold his guitar and opened a small hot dog shack near his BYU campus. Fast forward to today, and J. Dawgs has locations and food trucks throughout Utah, and is beloved for its huge, “X”-hatched griddled all-beef hot dogs and Polish sausages.
