D. Palmieri's Bakery, the Johnston, Rhode Island institution behind the Rhode Island Pizza Strip — a thick-crust, cheeseless focaccia-style pizza topped with bright, herb-infused tomato sauce and served at room temperature — has been making the Ocean State's most beloved baked staple since 1905.
