The Burnt Bean Co. was years in the making for co-owner Ernest Servantes, a Texas BBQ legend who built his reputation on the competition circuit, winning just about every major title in the state before taking his talents nationwide. Along the way, Ernest struck up a friendly rivalry with fellow pitmaster Dave Kirklandâonce competitors, the two pushed each other to perfect every detail of their craft. When the student became the master and bested his mentor, the pair joined forces, combining their championship pedigree and meticulous approach to create Burnt Bean Co. in Seguin, Texasâwhere bold flavors, slow-smoked meats, and a passion for true Texas âcue take center stage.
