Biscuit Love
Nashvilleâs Legendary Sky-High Biscuits
What started in 2012 with a bag of flour and an Airstream food truck is today one of Americaâs most beloved family-owned restaurants, with lines of biscuit lovers snaking out the door and around the corner on a daily basis. Founded by the husband-and-wife duo of Karl and Sarah Worley (both Johnson & Wales culinary school grads) with just three items on the menu, Biscuit Love opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Nashvilleâs The Gulch neighborhood in 2015, and that year it was named one of Americaâs 50 Best New Restaurants by Bon AppĂ©tit. Four more locations followed, with more in the works.
One bite of these biscuits and youâll understand why theyâve become a thing of cultish devotion. Theyâre made from scratch with just seven ingredients â flour, buttermilk, butter, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and lots of love â and they bake up tall, with more flaky layers than you can count. When topped with jam or creamy sausage gravy, these biscuits are sheer perfection. And donât even get us started on the cinnamon rolls, which are made with the same dough! These biscuits have taken the South by storm, and now theyâre shipping nationwide!
