The Gingered Peach was founded in 2014 with the goal of turning out approachable, delicious baked goods with an eye toward nostalgia. Founder and head baker Joanne Canady-Brown makes all of her beloved creations by hand, using only pure butter, milk, eggs, flour, and other real ingredients — no boxed mixes or shortcuts here! They’re not reinventing the wheel here, and that’s the point: these are classic, old-fashioned baked goods, and they’ll bring back some serious childhood memories.
Her cinnamon buns are soft, gooey, and sell out daily; her huge cookies clock in at over 4 inches in diameter; her super-fudgy brownies are made with high-end semisweet dark chocolate; and her old-fashioned pound cake is dense yet soft, and lent extra moisture and tang from European-style butter and Philadelphia cream cheese. One bite and you’ll understand what put this little mom & pop bakery on the map!
