An "Italian Gem" - The Michelin Guide

Addolorata Marzovilla, also known as โ€œNonna Dora,โ€ has been making pasta by hand for more than 70 years. She emigrated to the United States from the Italian region of Puglia in the 1970s when she was 34, and her son Nicola opened an Italian restaurant in New York City, called I Trulli, in 1994. Nonna Dora offered up her pasta-making skills and โ€œleft the needlework for noodles,โ€ as she put it, and could always be found at the restaurant making Puglia-style pasta the old-fashioned way, earning herself the nickname โ€œThe Pasta Machine.โ€ Dora now has her own restaurant in New York City, Nonna Dora's Pasta Bar.
