Sara Brook has always had a passion for baking, and she launched her first dessert business at age 21 in 1983. Five years later, she launched a dessert catering company, which struck it big after her signature chocolate sauce, The Great Chocolate Cover Up, took off. She sold that company in 1992, and in 1995 she launched The Dessert Gallery. It’s since become one of Houston’s most popular and beloved sweet shops, with two locations in town and countless devoted fans.

At Dessert Gallery, every treat is a handmade work of art. Sara’s signature chocolate chunk cookies are irresistibly soft on the inside and crisp on the outside, her cookie bars are the perfect party favor, and her cakes – from classic & vegan chocolate cake to decadent lemon blueberry cake – are handmade with only the highest-quality ingredients, ones you’d find in your own pantry.
