And Bar Bill Tavern is doing their hometown proud by serving two classics created in Buffalo: the beef on weck and, of course, wings (because you *can’t* talk about a Buffalo bar without mentioning its wings). Extra crispy and tossed in their signature hot sauce, this family-run tavern’s wings were named one of the best in the country by The Huffington Post. They even made it to the top of our list of America’s greatest wings! Their other specialty—Buffalo’s beloved beef on weck—is loaded with roast beef on a kimmelweck roll (a Kaiser roll topped with caraway seeds). In fact, when the tavern first opened, the beef on weck was the only thing on the menu. There may be bigger names in the Buffalo bar scene, but ask the locals where to go, and they’ll tell you that Bar Bill Tavern is the best—bar none.
