You’re invited to join us for our latest Goldbelly LIVE! cook-along: shrimp tacos & margaritas with Seamore’s Seafood! As one of NYC’s Nolita hotspots founded by Michael Chernow & Jay Wainwright with an incredible menu of local, sustainable fish, Seamore’s is famous for their beachy, laid-back vibe, providing seafood shack fare at its freshest and finest. In this interactive event, Seamore’s executive chef Rob Eggleston will be leading you through creating their delicious Tuesday-worthy (or tbh any day!) tacos, paired with homemade guacamole and a classic, thirst-quenching margarita.

Chef Rob & the team at Seamore’s have curated a limited-edition meal kit with all of the ingredients you need to transport you to the seaside: starting with chips & homemade guac, a classic margarita (BYO tequila!) and shrimp tacos in a special macha sauce topped with sesame seeds and pickled veggies. The flavor is deliciously complex, but luckily the prep isn’t!

To join the class, here’s all you need to do:

– Order your Shrimp Taco Kit by Sunday, February 21 at 11:30 PM ET.

– By placing an order, you will automatically be enrolled in the exclusive Zoom event.

– Prior to the class, you’ll receive your kit at your door, along with an email with all the info you’ll need to join the Zoom event.

– At 7 PM ET on Thursday, February 25, join Chef Rob & the Seamore’s crew on Zoom.

A limited number of spots are available for each event, and they’re expected to fill up quickly.

Kit Includes

Chips & Guacamole Kit

  • 1 Container of Tortilla Chips
  • 3 Avocados
  • 2 Limes
  • 1 Jalapeno
  • 1 Bunch Cilantro

Shrimp Taco Kit

  • 18 Pieces Whiteleg Shrimp (approx 10 oz.)
  • 6 Flour Tortillas
  • Lime Crema (2.5 oz.)
  • Pickled Red Cabbage (3 oz.)
  • Salsa Macha (2.25 oz.)
  • 1/4 Wedge of Green Cabbage
  • 1 Cello Radish
  • Sesame Seeds

Margarita Kit

  • 2 Bottles of Margarita Mix (12 oz. each)

You Will Need

For the Meal
Kosher salt, black pepper, canola oil (or blended oil), stovetop, tongs, spoon, spatula, non-stick skillet, 2 medium sized mixing bowls, chef’s knife, cutting board, juicer

For the Margaritas
Cocktail shaker, rocks glass, ice, tequila, salt (optional)

Ingredients

  • Corn Tortilla Chips – White Corn Masa, Water, Sea Salt, Canola Oil
  • Guacamole – Avocado, Lime, Jalapeno, Cilantro
  • Tacos – Whiteleg Shrimp, Flour Tortillas (soybean oil, mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid, malled barley flour, water, enriched flour, baking powder, salt, potassium sorbate, enzymes), Salsa Macha (guajillo pepper, pasilla chili, smoked red jalapeno, vinegar, sugar, xanthum gum, garlic, sesame seed, vegetable stock [celery, onion, carrot, lemon, parsley, thyme]), Lime Crema (sour cream [pasteurized light cream and nonfat milk, potassium sorbate, enzymes] lime juice, salt), Shredded Green Cabbage, Pickled Red Cabbage (red cabbage, sugar, salt, lime juice, distilled vinegar), Radish, White Sesame Seeds
  • Margarita – Lime Juice, Triple Sec, Simple Syrup (water, sugar)

Instructions / Storage

To Store

  • This package ships fresh with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
  • Upon arrival, remove product from packaging and place immediately in the fridge, except the tortilla chips & sesame seeds, which can stay at room temperature.
  • Please have all tools and other items ready for use prior to class start.

Prior to Class

1. Upon Arrival: Unpack your Seamore Shrimp Tacos & Margs Meal Kit once it arrives. Use the checklist below to make sure that you have all of your ingredients:

Chips & Guacamole Kit

  • 1 Container of Tortilla Chips

2. An Hour Before Class: Gather the necessary kitchen equipment & ingredients before the cook-along starts, listed below:

3. Before Zooming: Download the Zoom App on your computer or mobile phone. You do not need to register for an account to join.


During Class

4. At Class Time: Join our Zoom Cook-Along Thursday, February 25, at 7pm ET! Click this Meeting Link: https://zoom.us/j/98757826336 (Meeting ID: 987 5782 6336). Feel free to join us a few minutes early to test out your connection! Chef Rob will lead everyone through the cook-along, but if you would like to follow-along on paper, he’s written step-by-step instructions below:

Margaritas

  • Cut a lime into wedges and prepare two glasses. If you want to salt your rim, take a wedge and wet the rim of your glasses, lay some salt on a napkin and press your glass on top. Fill each glass with ice.
  • Grab your favorite tequila and pour two ounces in each glass. Open one of your margarita mixes and pour half the bottle in each glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Chips & Guacamole

  • Cut both avocados in half and remove pit and scoop the inside into a mixing bowl. Mash avocados with a fork or masher.
  • Slice the stems off the jalapeños and slice lengthwise. Carefully scoop
    the seeds out of the center and don’t touch your eyes! Dice the jalapeño and throw it in with the mashed avocado.
  • Remove cilantro leaves from the stem, setting some aside for garnish. Finely chop and throw it into your guac mix. Juice one lime over the guac, add salt to taste, and mix it all together. Serve with chips on the side.

Shrimp Tacos

  • Pit and slice your remaining avocado into thin strips.
  • In a small bowl, mix shredded green and pickled red cabbage.
  • Heat tortillas in their foil in a 350° oven/toaster oven for 5-10 min.
    For an advanced method, use a pair of tongs to hold the tortilla over a low stove flame to toast each side for 30 seconds, or until slightly charred.
  • In a saute pan over medium heat, add 1⁄2 tablespoon oil, followed by shrimp. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper and add to your heated pan.
  • Cook shrimp for 2 min a side. Stir in salsa macha and cook for another 1 min.
  • To assemble your tacos, place tortillas on a plate and spread a small amount of lime crema in the center. Add a small amount of cabbage mixture, three pieces of shrimp, a slice of avocado, and two radish slices. Garnish with some cilantro, toasted sesame seeds, and lime squeeze to top it all off. Enjoy!
