Poutine is definitely having a moment right now, and Chris and Matt Urakami, also known as the Poutine Brothers, are doing it right. From their Los Angeles food truck, they’re putting creative twists on the beloved Canadian dish and earning heaps of praise (not to mention plenty of diehard fans) in the process.
Their poutine starts with double-fried French fries, which are topped with cheese curds sourced from Wisconsin and decadent homemade brown gravy. From there, you can opt to add on five-hour braised beef short ribs or a smoked tender pork shoulder, or you can go completely vegetarian or vegan. This poutine is dangerously delicious and seriously indulgent.
