Savory Chicken Pie
This pie offers some seriously savory comfort and nourishment! Tender white and dark meat chicken and rustic vegetables are encased in a flaky, all butter double crust.
While living with her mother in San Francisco, Jaynelle St. Jean started baking pies as a hobby and giving away slices through a window. Even though she’d only perfected three pie recipes, the response told her that she was into something good, and in 2010 she officially launched Pietisserie in Oakland. These pies have flaky, handmade crusts, and Jaynelle only uses the finest natural ingredients purchased directly from regional producers in her fillings.
This package serves 6-8 people and includes a 9" Savory Chicken Pie
- Savory Chicken Pie – Chicken, Onion, Garlic, Butter, Olive Oil, Salt Marash Pepper, Chicken Broth, Celery, Carrots, Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, Broccoli, Red Cabbage, Mustard Greens, Fresh Herbs, Flour, Salt, Pepper. Crust: Flour, Butter, Salt, Water.
Instructions / Storage
- Pies ship frozen with ice packs and dry ice
- Ice packs may thaw in transit, dry ice may dissipate
- Do NOT remove dry ice with bare hands
- Upon arrival store your pie in the fridge if you plan to enjoy it in the next couple of days. Otherwise, store it in the freezer
Savory Chicken Pie
- Preheat your oven to 365° and place a sheet tray on the rack. It’s totally optional but I like to brush the pie with egg white before baking it
- Put the pie on the hot baking sheet
- Let it cook for an hour from thawed. (Longer if you cook from frozen.)
- Keep an eye on it till it looks like you really want to dig into it
- Just don’t burn it and enjoy!
