Brisket & Latkes Kit

To Store

  • Kit ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit
  • May be kept refrigerated for 5 days or frozen for up to 1 month
  • Mustard may be kept at room temperature until opened, refrigerate after opening

To Serve

Sliced Meat: Stove Top (The Junior's Way)
  • STEP 1: Unwrap sliced meat from the wax paper
  • STEP 2: Bring water to a boil in either a large pot with a steamer basket or a double boiler
  • STEP 3: Place foil-wrapped sliced meat in the pot and stean for 5 minutes

Sliced Meat: Microwave (The Alternative Method)
  • STEP 1: Unwrap sliced meat from wax paper and foil
  • STEP 2: Heat for 2 minutes

Latkes
  • STEP 1: Heat from thawed
  • STEP 2: Preheat oven to 350
  • STEP 3: Place on a baking sheet lined with foil
  • STEP 4: Bake 20 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and heated through

Mushroom Gravy
  • STEP 1: Heat in a saucepan on medium-low heat until warm

Au Jus
  • STEP 1: Heat in a saucepan on medium-low heat until warm

Apple Sauce
  • STEP 1: Fully defrost in the refrigerator

Assembly
  • STEP 1: Have a knife and fork ready! This is not your traditional sandwich
  • STEP 2: Placed sliced meat between two potato pancakes or on top of one for an open-faced sandwich
  • STEP 3: Add or dip into the apple sauce, mushroom gravy, and/or au jus
