Dumplings are a must on the table as they symbolize the brightness of the moon and the promise of a bright and prosperous year ahead. We have been told that the more dumplings you eat, the more money you will make throughout the year! Our restaurant hand pinches hundreds of thousands of dumplings annually, hoping to bless everyone with a prosperous year. To raise awareness and support our community in Chinatown, NYC, with every Dim Sum Kit purchase, a part of the sale will go towards Welcome to Chinatown’s Longevity Fund, a fund created to help local businesses who have been struggling to survive the pandemic.

Founded in Manhattan’s Chinatown in 1978, Jing Fong is today one of New York City’s largest and most renowned destinations for dim sum. Locals and tourists alike ascend its grand escalators into an 800-seat, 20,000 square foot dining hall, where friends and families gather to enjoy a traditional dim sum brunch of more than 200 classic Chinese dishes, served via rolling carts.   • 8 Har Gow Shrimp Dumplings
  • 8 Siu Mai Shrimp & Pork Dumplings
  • Wonton Soup (32 oz.)
  • 8 Wontons
  • Mushroom Longevity Noodles (32 oz.)
  • 4 Dim Sum Steamer Papers
  • 1 Bamboo Steamer
  • Pu-Er Red Tea (1 oz.)
  • Soy Sauce & Hot Chili packets
  • Each dumpling measures 1.5″ × 1.5″
  • Each wonton measures 2″ × 1.5″

Ingredients

  • Har Gow – Filling (Shrimp, Mushroom, Msg, Salt, Sugar, Sesame Oil, Pepper, Vegetable Oil, Corn Starch, Bamboo Shoots, Monosodium Glutamate), Skin (Corn Starch, Rice Flour, Tapioca Flour, Potato Flour)
  • Siu Mai – Filling (Shrimp, Pork, Mushroom, Celery, Sesame Oil, Soy Sauce, Salt, Pepper, Sugar, Monosodium Glutamate), Skin (Egg, Salt, Flour)
  • Wonton Soup – Chicken, Pork Salt, Pepper, Monosodium Glutamate, Scallion
  • Wontons – Shrimp, Pork, Salt, Pepper, Sugar, Soy Sauce, Sesame Oil, Vegetable Oil, Egg, Flour, Corn Starch, Monosodium Glutamate Mushroom
  • Longevity Noodles – Egg, Black Mushroom, Cornstarch, Hoisin Sauce, Dark Soy Sauce, Light Soy Sauce, Sesame Oil, Sugar, Salt, Pepper, Vegetable Oil, Flour, Monosodium Glutamate

Instructions / Storage

  • This package ships frozen with dry ice
  • Dry ice may dissipate in transit
  • Upon arrival place in the freezer until ready to prepare
  • Dumplings & wontons can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months
  • Soup can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months
  • Noodles can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months
  • Allow soup to thaw in the refrigerator for 24 hours before preparing, keep wontons frozen.

To Serve

Har Gow Shrimp Dumplings

  • In a pan or wok, boil 2 inches of water, place a rack above the water (an inverted, heat resistant cup or bowl in the pan will also do)
  • Place the steaming paper in the dim sum steamer
  • Put the dumplings in the steamer, with space left between them
  • Once the water is boiled, put the steamer in, and cover it with a lid
  • Steam for approximately 7-9 minutes, until the skin is translucent
  • Carefully remove and enjoy!

Siu Mai Shrimp & Pork Dumplings

  • In a pan or wok, boil 2 inches of water, place a rack above the water (an inverted, heat resistant cup or bowl in the pan will also do)
  • Place the steaming paper in the dim sum steamer
  • Put the dumplings in the steamer, with space left between them
  • Once the water is boiled, put the steamer in, and cover it with a lid
  • Steam for approximately 13-15 minutes, until the inside reaches 145 degrees
  • Carefully remove and enjoy!

Wonton Soup

  • When ready to cook, thaw soup in fridge for 24 hours
  • Leave wontons in the freezer until ready to cook
  • Pour the whole wonton soup in a pot and carefully put the dumplings in there as well
  • Allow water to boil
  • Once the water is boiled, check the wontons to see if they are floating, if they are floating on top, the wonton soup is ready – approximately 3-4 minutes after the soup is boiled
  • Carefully remove, drizzle some scallions on it, and enjoy!

Mushroom Longevity Noodles

  • Heat one cup of water in a non-stick pan or skillet on high heat, until it starts to boil
  • Remove noodles from bag and place it in the pan
  • Leave it on high heat for approximately 5-6 minutes, constantly stirring
  • Flip noodles and continue to stir while turning it down to medium heat for about 3-5 minutes, or until water is gone
  • Carefully remove and enjoy!

  • Orders cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes
  • Orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii via 2-day will incur an additional $20 charge or $35 for Overnight Shipping. Sorry guys!
