Meat Lasagna
To make this flawless lasagna, meatballs and sausage simmer all day in red sauce, resulting in a rich & flavorful ragu. This ragu is then layered with traditional lasagna pasta, tomato sauce, ricotta, provolone, and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese for lasagna perfection!

Eggplant Parmigiana
This eggplant parmigiana consists of decadent fried eggplant slices layered with homemade tomato sauce, basil, provolone cheese, and Parmigiano-Reggiano finished with a drizzle of fresh-pressed olive oil.

Tiramisù
Literally translated to “pick-me-up,” tiramisù is a classic Italian dessert that’s light, fluffy, rich, and creamy. Dinner in the Field makes their signature tiramisù with delicate Italian espresso-infused ladyfingers layered with lightly sweetened mascarpone cheese, sweet egg cream, chocolate shavings, and cocoa. To serve, simply thaw the dessert and dive in!

Dinner in the Field is the brilliant creation of Paige Healy. She spent many warm summer evenings at her uncle’s farm in Southern Italy, enjoying rustic Italian fare and sipping wine from local vineyards, and was inspired to recreate that same al fresco, familial dining experience in the rural outskirts of Richmond, Virginia using only locally-sourced, farm-to-table ingredients. The result was Dinner in the Field, which has since been named one of the world’s 10 best outdoor dining experiences by Jetsetter Magazine.

Instructions / Storage

  • “Taste of Italy” ships with dry ice, may thaw in transit
  • Do not remove dry ice with bare hands
  • Remove packaging and place immediately in the refrigerator or freezer
  • Once prepared, Meat Lasagna and Eggplant Parmigiana can be stored at room temperature for up to 4 hours, in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
  • Tiramisù can be stored at room temperature for up to 4 hours, in the refrigerator for up to 4 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 weeks

To Serve

Lasagna + Eggplant Parmigiana

  • Store the lasagna and eggplant parmigiana in your freezer.
  • When ready to cook, preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Take lasagna and eggplant parmigiana directly from the freezer and place on sheet tray; do not remove lid.
  • Bake for 20 minutes covered and then an additional 15 minutes uncovered or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Remove from oven and allow to rest for 10–15 minutes prior to serving.
  • Enjoy!

Tiramisù

  • To completely thaw the frozen tiramisù, refrigerate it for at least 8 hours before serving. Alternatively, you may partially thaw the tiramisù for 4-6 hours so the mascarpone has the consistency of ice cream.
