  • 4 Crawfish Hand Pies
  • Roasted Pepper & Garlic Sauce (1/2 pint)
  • Each hand pie serves 1 person and measures 5″ × 3″

Ingredients

Filling: Rice, Crawfish Tails, Onion, Celery, Green Onion, Parsley, Green Bell Pepper, Garlic, Paprika, White Pepper, Black Pepper, Salt, Chili Flake, Hot Sauce, Chicken Stock, Lemon Juice, Worcestershire, Flour, Butter.
Dough: Flour, Salt, Sugar, Eggs, Butter.
Pepper & Garlic Sauce: Roasted Red Bell Pepper, Roasted Green Bell Pepper, Roasted Poblanos, Roasted Garlic, Red Wine Vinegar, Salt, Pepper, & Sambal.

Instructions / Storage

  • Hand Pies ships frozen with ice packs which may thaw in transit
  • Hand Pies may be stored in the refrigerator for 3 days and in the freezer for up to 1 month (but is best consumed immediately)
  • Sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for 5 days.

To Serve

If Baking

  • Thaw pies at room temperature for 30 minutes
  • Set oven to 350 degrees.
  • Brush lightly with egg wash (1 beaten egg & 1 tbsp water).
  • Place pies on a parchment-lined sheet tray, evenly spaced.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until pastry is golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145 degrees.
  • Enjoy!

If Frying

  • Heat pot of oil to 350 degrees
  • Once hot, place pies in oil, cooking about 5 minutes on each side or until golden brown on the outside and 145 degrees internally.
  • Serve hot with room temperature pepper & garlic sauce.
  • Enjoy!
