This package serves 3 people and includes:

  • 1 Paella Pan (15")
  • Aneto Seafood Broth (1 Qt.)
  • 1 bag Bomba Rice La Carreta (500g)
  • Spanish Saffron (1g)
  • Aioli (8 oz.)
  • Sofrito De Sepia (8 oz.)
  • 6 Spanish Red Shrimp (each 1 oz.)

Instructions / Storage

  • This package ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit
  • Upon arrival, store all perishable contents in the fridge for up to 3 days
  • Rice and Saffron may be kept at room temperature

To Serve


  • Peel the shrimp, leaving the head on
  • Place the paella over a medium flame
  • Add the sofrito de sepia to the paella pan
  • Once the sofrito is hot, add 2 cups of Aneto seafood stock and 2 cups of water
  • Once it is boiling, add 1 cup of rice, 1 tsp of salt 1/3 of the saffron.

Cooking Method: Gas Stovetop

  • Once you added the rice, salt and saffron and the paella is boiling again, let it boil over a medium flame for 10 minutes
  • After 10 minutes, turn down the flame to a lower setting and keep cooking for 5 more minutes
  • Add the peeled shrimp and let it cook for 2 more minutes
  • Turn off the flame
  • Total time of rice boiling should be 17 minutes
  • Serve the paella with aioli on the side

Chef’s Tip: If you’re feeling extra adventurous, once the paella is done add some drops of olive oil around the paella and turn on the flame to maximum power for about 30 seconds to get the crunchy SOCARRAT!

Cooking Method: Oven

  • Once you added the rice, salt and saffron and the paella is boiling again, then place the pan in a pre-heated oven at 400 degrees
  • After 15 minutes, remove the pan from the oven, place the peeled shrimp and replace the paella in the oven again for 2 more minutes
  • Remove the paella from the oven
  • Total time of rice boiling should be 17 minutes
  • Serve the paella with aioli on the side

Chef’s Tip: If your oven has a rack, use that instead of using an oven tray so the heat can conduct better and the paella will be flatter as well so it cooks more evenly
