One of Betty’s signature pies, for the holidays or any day! Looks exactly like a Pecan pie but they load it up with walnuts and add some maple syrup. A walnut lovers dream pie for sure!
Famous for their crave-worthy cream pies, “crunch pies,” and old-fashioned double-crusts, Betty’s Pies in Two Harbors, Minnesota has been baking handmade pies for decades. The pie shop’s namesake began selling coffee and donuts from her father’s fish shack on Highway 61 in 1956. Two years later, the shack expanded with a cafe that sold hot dogs, hamburgers, and pie. Today, dozens of pie flavors are on offer at Betty’s Pies, including Coconut Cream, French Cherry Cream, Caramel Apple Crunch, and the Five-Layer Chocolate Cream Pie.
Each pie is approximately 9" in diameter and serves 6-8 people
Maple Walnut Pie: Walnuts, Sugar, Corn Syrup, Eggs, Butter, Salt
Crust – Wheat Flour, Lard, Egg, Milk, Baking Powder, Salt
Instructions / Storage
Your pie is ready to eat once it is thawed, but feel free to warm in the oven if you’d like. Just unwrap and thaw overnight in your refrigerator. Once your pie is thawed, store covered in the refrigerator or at room temperature for 3 days. Pies can be frozen for up to 2 months.Download Storage and Prep Instructions
